Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of Bayside Spa, Summit Fitness Center, and Paseo Fitness Center, managing fitness services, personal training, group programming, retail, and smoothie bar activities. Recruit, train, and schedule staff while monitoring performance, attendance, and safety compliance. Conduct fitness assessments, manage equipment maintenance, and control inventory for retail and beverage offerings. Monitor departmental budgets, labor costs, and revenue objectives to achieve financial goals. Partner with resort leadership to enhance wellness programs and guest experiences.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years of fitness, wellness, recreation, or hospitality management experience
- Nationally recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, or equivalent)
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business software
- Strong knowledge of fitness equipment, exercise programming, personal training, and wellness trends
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Professional appearance and commitment to exceptional guest service
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and remain active throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to demonstrate fitness techniques and maintain a visible presence throughout the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Luxury resort, spa, hospitality, or wellness management experience
- Group Fitness Certification
- Retail operations and inventory management experience
- Food and beverage management experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
