Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day sow farm operations to meet production targets, including farrowing rates, weaning weights, and litter size. Develop operational protocols for feed inventory and facility upkeep while ensuring equipment maintenance. Lead a team of farm staff through mentorship, SOP training, and performance evaluations. Monitor animal welfare compliance, biosecurity protocols, and collaborate with veterinary teams on health treatments. Analyze key production metrics to identify trends and prepare regular reports for upper management. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations while enforcing safety policies and conducting facility audits. Act as a liaison between management and staff to align on operational goals. Bachelor's degree in Animal Science preferred with five years of sow farm management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of sow farm management experience

- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and farm management software
- Ability to work in a farm environment
