Job Summary
Production Operations Manager to lead Winston-Salem cable facility at Corning, responsible for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team performance; drive manufacturing performance, manage staffing and budget, align capacity with customer demand, lead changeovers and equipment upgrades, drive continuous improvement and OEE gains through lean initiatives, and lead teams to achieve on-time manufacturing and delivery goals. Requires BS, 7+ years in manufacturing with leadership progression, Six Sigma/Lean, and strong people management; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (technical or business degree preferred)
- 7+ years' experience in manufacturing with a proven track record of leadership progression
- Direct people management experience (for both salaried and non-exempt employees)
- Certified Six Sigma DMAIC Green Belt and/or demonstrated Lean capabilities
- Experience and accountability for developing, implementing, and driving results through critical manufacturing metrics (including safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale)
