Job Summary
Identify, plan, and prioritize business development activities in the Southeast US ports and maritime markets while influencing the business plan to reflect growth potential and geographic competition. Lead major pursuit proposals, maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, and secure key teaming partners to improve project outcomes. Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with existing clients, drive data-led performance improvements, and foster a culture of success and engagement within the delivery team. This leadership role supports the Southeast Transportation Team and works closely with business lines including Buildings & Places, Environment & Energy, Program Management, and Water. The position requires a market-facing champion with 12+ years of experience in ports infrastructure, capable of managing diverse, geographically distributed teams and navigating complex social, political, and economic drivers in the region.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BAs and 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
- Experience planning, design, engineering and construction at a senior professional level with a minimum of 12 years in ports infrastructure market for either: container terminals, liquid bulk terminals, dry bulk terminals, and/or waterfront infrastructure
- Previous experience in successfully leading multi-disciplinary project teams and delivering projects, including contractual arrangements, to required quality standards, on time and within budget
- Experience and demonstrate a strong client and stakeholder network within the industry, which will translate into identifing, winning, and delivering projects in the consulting and advisory market
- Relocation is an option for this position
