Job Summary
Provide pediatric urgent care in a Level II trauma center, managing emergent complaints and performing minor procedures such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage, and splinting. Collaborate with pediatric, respiratory therapy, and nursing teams to deliver family-centered care while participating in quality improvement initiatives and simulation-based training. Deliver clinical coverage primarily in the evenings for 8-hour shifts, with the pilot period consisting of one 8-hour week from Monday 2p to 10p. Work within the Boston Children's Hospital Network at St. Luke's Hospital in southeastern Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- A minimum of 3–5 years of RN experience
- Demonstrated ability to practice independently in an ED setting
- Experience with minor ED procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- commitment to family-centered, equitable pediatric care
- A current Massachusetts NP license
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
