Job Summary
Provide safe nursing care to students with complex health needs during school transportation routes. Deliver individualized care per physician orders while administering medications, performing tracheostomy care, suctioning, and managing seizures. Monitor student health and communicate professionally with families, schools, and the clinical team. Morning routes run 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM; afternoon routes run 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. No evenings, weekends, or statutory holidays. Requires CARNA or CLHA registration, BLS certification, and a valid Alberta driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA), or College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides (CLHA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Valid Alberta driver's license and reliable transportation
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
