Job Summary
Support the Chef Manager in daily kitchen operations, manage mise en place, and ensure smooth, timely service for independent schools and colleges. Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service while maintaining strict food safety and allergen controls. Contribute to innovative menu planning and support events and functions alongside school life. This role offers a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £36,000 annum, including 28 days holiday and bespoke training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a Barred List check
- experience as an Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie within a contract catering environment
- experience in independent education, or a high-profile business and industry setting
- Strong attention to detail and high food safety standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
