Job Summary
Provide a friendly, professional dining and kitchen environment as Sous Chef in a corporate/culinary setting. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to prepare, execute and clean up all meals; ensure lunch service on time; design monthly menus with attention to dietary restrictions; maintain freshness and quality of products; perform daily inventory, place orders, receive and store items; manage supplier relationships and invoicing; schedule maintenance for food and beverage equipment; uphold Health Department hygiene and safety standards; maintain permits and records for the Vitol Kitchen; manage food costs spreadsheet; assist with special events, and support Admin tasks as needed. Demonstrate working knowledge of culinary trends, various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and industry best practices; prefer Scratch kitchen experience and the ability to stand for 8+ hours; available for 7am–3pm, Monday–Friday as the menu requires.
Required Qualifications
- Culinary degree, or two or more years of progressive experience in a restaurant kitchen or hotel/banquet setting
