Job Summary

In the role of Sous Chef, you will oversee and manage food preparation in designated kitchen areas, ensuring the production of consistently high-quality meals. Responsibilities include supervising culinary staff, maintaining quality standards, adhering to cost management protocols, and monitoring kitchen equipment and sanitation. You will assist the Executive Chef with ordering supplies, training associates, and developing new food concepts. The position requires regularly lifting weights and working in various environmental conditions including wet or humid areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
