Job Summary
Assist Executive Chef in hiring, coaching, and performance management for culinary operations; directly supervise all culinary staff; assist in managing and training culinary and dining personnel; supervise staff regarding product quality, portion, cost controls, scheduling, and staffing; ensure quality of food via tasting and plate presentation; assist with menu planning and ordering of food supplies; prepare meals to order; manage the culinary department in the Executive Chef's absence; assist cooks; step in during emergencies or rush periods; strive for 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste; circulate dining rooms during meals to gather resident feedback; support the mission and culture of StoryPoint and its senior-living communities across multiple states; embodies the company pillars and leadership expectations; this role is part of CommonSail Investment Group and related businesses.
Required Qualifications
- Fine dining experience required
- Working towards Sous Chef Certification or comparable work experience
- Strong leadership abilities, organization, and time management skills
