Job Summary
Assist Executive Chef in hiring, coaching, and performance management for culinary operations. Directly supervise all culinary staff, manage training of culinary and dining personnel, and monitor product quality, portion sizing, cost controls, scheduling, and staffing. Responsible for quality of food served by tasting items and plate presentation; assist with menu planning and ordering of food supplies; prepare and cook meals to order. Serve as acting culinary leader in the absence of the Executive Chef and assist cooks as needed. Operate during emergencies or rush periods and strive for 100% resident satisfaction through plate presentation and taste. Circulate dining rooms during meal times to obtain resident feedback and uphold the mission and values of the organization across multiple senior living communities.; The role emphasizes leadership, meal preparation, quality control, menu development, and ensuring a high standard of dining experiences for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Fine dining experience required
- Working towards Sous Chef Certification or comparable work experience
- Must demonstrate proven leadership abilities, strong organization, and time management skills
