Job Summary
Lead a kitchen team in a retirement-community dining operation, overseeing the preparation, production, and presentation of all food; ensure sanitation and safety standards, manage inventory, and train kitchen staff. Responsible for maintaining quality, accommodating large quantities and a variety of foods, and collaborating across Grill Room, Main Kitchen, and Health Center Kitchen. Requires English proficiency, ability to follow instructions, independent decision-making, and familiarity with culinary-school training. Be familiar with vendor par levels, safety policies, and the Beaumont Employee Handbook; participate in in-services and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Possess the ability to work independently and make good decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
- Graduate of culinary school preferred
