Job Summary
Role: Sous Chef at Perkins Bar & Bistro near Nottingham. Support Head Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations; ensure high food quality, presentation, and consistency; lead service in Head Chef’s absence; contribute to menu development and seasonal specials; assist with recruiting, training, and developing a strong kitchen team; assist with ordering, stock control, GP, and kitchen cost management; ensure allergen, food safety, and due-diligence processes are followed; maintain standards to support a 5-star Environmental Health rating; collaborate with management to deliver heartfelt hospitality. Requires proven Sous Chef experience in a fresh-food restaurant, a passion for quality food, strong leadership and communication, cost-control understanding, and teamwork.
