Job Summary
Banquet-focused Sous Chef responsible for leading banquet kitchen operations, training and mentoring culinary staff, and ensuring high standards of execution during events. Role involves hands-on kitchen leadership, collaboration with food and beverage teams on menu planning and execution, cost control, quality and presentation, health and safety compliance, coordination with banquet/catering departments, and maintaining standards during busy periods. Requires a culinary bachelor's or equivalent experience, strong leadership and training abilities, and familiarity with hotel culinary operations and systems (MICROS). The position supports Marriott/Crestline brand standards and aims to deliver high-quality dining experiences for weddings, conferences, meetings, and social events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or culinary school plus at least two years of related experience; or high school diploma plus at least five years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with MICROS hotel systems
- Knowledge of Restaurant and Culinary Operations within a hotel environment; compliance with applicable laws and regulations
