Job Summary
As Sous Chef for Naked Farmer at the new St. Pete location, lead and mentor the culinary team to deliver Scratch-made, seasonal dishes with consistent recipes and high quality. Inspire staff through training, pre-shift meetings, and shift leadership; manage prep lists, waste logs, inventory, and a well-stocked walk-in in collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine. Oversee execution of recipes and standards across all stations, coordinate opening/closing procedures, address guest concerns with creative solutions, and ensure compliance with food-safety protocols and health department standards. Build discipline, hospitality, and teamwork to elevate kitchen performance, while guiding teammates’ growth into future restaurant leaders and maintaining a positive, results-driven work environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Two or more years of experience cooking in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong culinary abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to mentor chefs and nurture growth into future restaurant leaders
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
