Job Summary
Experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, supervise and mentor kitchen staff, and ensure delivery of high-quality dishes and dining experiences. Responsibilities include overseeing performance and uniformity, supporting menu creation and cost analysis, managing inventory and back-of-house expenses, upholding health and safety standards, recruiting/training/rostering staff, and refining recipes to meet diverse dietary needs. Rotating Monday–Sunday shifts with AM/PM coverage; strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required. Permanent full-time role with Minor Hotels’ properties in Australia/NZ.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum two years’ experience as Sous Chef
