Job Summary
As Sous Chef at Luma, lead daily kitchen operations, oversee a team of cooks, recruit and develop staff, and ensure consistent quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Responsibilities include managing inventory, ordering, and receiving procedures for cost control; collaborating with culinary and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences; fostering a culture of craftsmanship, teamwork, and hospitality; coaching and performance management of kitchen staff; resolving conflicts and maintaining a solutions-focused environment; and contributing to ongoing training and development. Requires hands-on cooking leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Legally eligible to work in Canada. This role is a current vacancy with salary in the CAD 52,000–60,000 range.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in a similar environment
- Passion for food & culinary excellence
