Job Summary

Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality and consistency of Maréla’s coastal European-inspired menu, coaching and mentoring line cooks, upholding HACCP and food-safety standards, assisting with inventory, labor scheduling, and cost control, and collaborating with front-of-house leadership to deliver seamless guest experiences while contributing to menu development and daily features.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of culinary experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen preferred
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, seafood preparation, and seasonal cooking
  • Understanding of food cost, labor management, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
