Job Summary
This Sous Chef role offers growth in a high-volume, all-scratch kitchen supporting two dining concepts and large-scale catered events. You’ll learn and develop skills in ordering, scheduling, prep/inventory management, cost control, recipe building, and staff development, while ensuring quality and consistency across taproom, beer hall, and events. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, night and weekend work, and on-site training in Greater Boston or Tysons Corner, VA. Must-have: high school education or equivalent, 2 years of management, 1 year of line cooking, strong communication, health/sanitation knowledge, and a strong culinary foundation with coaching ability. Desirable certifications include ServSafe, TIPS, Allergen, and ChokeSaver; catering experience is a plus. Level99 is an E-Verify employer and operates multiple venues with ongoing openings in CT, MA, RI, VA, FL, PA, and NJ.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- 2 years management experience
- 1 year line cooking experience
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of health and sanitation code and policies
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and leadership
- Culinary foundation with ability to coach and teach others
- Positive, energetic attitude
- Ability to train on-site in Greater Boston or Tysons Corner, VA
