Sous Chef | Kitchen Manager | Assistant Culinary Director

Job Summary
Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while assisting the executive chef with daily culinary and administrative tasks. Maintain kitchen order, discipline, and inventory management, performing executive duties in the chef's absence. Train existing and new culinary staff on dish preparation, arrangement, and plating per the current menu. Ensure resident comfort, privacy, and dignity through compassionate attitude and strict sanitation practices. Complete new-hire orientation, CBRF classes, and job-related training to deliver exceptional care. Full-time role with flexible scheduling ending no later than 7 P.M. and immediate pay access.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Must submit and pass all applicable pre-employment and annual tests and meet all training and other applicable state and federal guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 1-3 months related experience or training preferred
- Experience in a manager, assistant manager and/or supervisor role
- Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, cooking, plating, culinary arts, and/or hospitality is preferred
- Caring & compassionate attitude for others
- Thorough understanding of sanitation and infection control practices
- Strong customer service focus; ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
