Job Summary

As Sous Chef at Asheville School, supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of meals for students, faculty and guests; develop menus in accordance with tastes, nutrition, and budget; ensure production, safety, sanitation, and quality standards; supervise staff, control inventory and costs; participate in menu testing and special events; and maintain high levels of customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated institutional, hotel, or restaurant culinary skills to include large quantity production.
  • Must have 3-5 years of culinary management experience.
  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills are required.
  • A proven track record of successfully controlling costs and managing annual budgets.
