Job Summary
Sous Chef manages daily kitchen operations, provides leadership and direction to kitchen personnel (including Line Cooks and Dishwashers), places food and supply orders, conducts safety audits and trainings, ensures proper plate presentation, and oversees labor and food cost with budget monitoring while preparing high quality meals in a senior living dining program. This full-time role requires strong communication with residents, families, and team members; previous leadership experience and a Managers Food Handlers permit are preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent required. The position is based in Overland Park, KS, and involves a varied schedule including weekends/holidays.
