Job Summary
Sous Chef at LAGO in Lake Zurich, IL. Responsibilities include providing quality hospitality and ensuring all food is prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards; training and supervising kitchen staff; filling in as needed for guest-service efficiency; maintaining equipment; establishing portion sizes and standard recipe cards for new menu items; ensuring proper ordering, receiving, and cost control; and upholding safety and sanitation policies. Must lead kitchen staff during service, communicate effectively with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests; and be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50+ pounds. Minimum 5 years of progressive kitchen experience including leadership; passion for delivering an excellent dining experience.
