Job Summary
Directs and participates in food production operations; leads, coaches, and trains kitchen and food production team members; assists with recruiting, hiring, and training using approved materials; manages daily production for meals, banquets, and events according to recipes, timing, and quality standards; ensures proper hold temperatures, portion sizes, freshness and flavor; maintains safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance; assists with budgeting for food, equipment, and labor; monitors cost and prepares schedules, ensuring a cohesive BOH team and outstanding guest service.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Sous Chef
- Leadership and coaching of kitchen staff
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines (OSHA/food safety)
- Ability to plan and direct daily production for meals, banquets, and events
- Budgeting and cost control management
- Ability to develop training plans and growth opportunities for team members
- Collaborates with chefs at other locations
- Maintains cleanliness and organizational standards in kitchen
