Job Summary
Lead and train kitchen staff as Sous Chef at Diablo’s in Luxor, Las Vegas, coordinating with the Executive Chef to deliver vibrant Mexican- and Southwestern-inspired dishes. Responsibilities include supervising Master Cooks, Cooks, Pantry Workers, and Helpers; ensuring proper labeling, dating, and sanitation of products; maintaining knowledge of base sauces, stocks, and soups; communicating with management and service staff to fulfill guest needs; assisting with purchasing, receiving, and inventory; and helping establish goals focused on profit, product, and people. The role emphasizes quality, consistency, and presentation in a high-volume hotel/casino kitchen environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience as a supervisor/chef
- Associate's degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
- Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement preferred
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant production and hotel/casino environment preferred
