Job Summary
As a Sous Chef at The Arbor Company, you will oversee the production of high-quality dishes aligned with resident preferences and menu requirements, manage stock deliveries and rotation, ensure cleanliness and safety per schedules and protocols, and train/monitor kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. You will collaborate with care teams to support residents and ensure their needs are met, fostering a positive, cooperative work environment while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality standards for long-term care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Culinary degree or training preferred
- experience cooking in a restaurant environment preferred
- previous experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred
- experience with large batch cooking (100 people) is preferred
- ability to maintain positive resident relations
- team leadership and staff training abilities
