Job Summary
Assist in preparation and delivery of meals to residents and personnel, ensuring food services operations comply with standards and applicable laws. Supervise and train inmate workers and food service assistants while maintaining safe and sanitary conditions in all food service areas. Manage the food services program when the Chef is absent and support special luncheons and events. This role requires at least three years of food service experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks and work in a correctional kitchen environment. Full-time, non-exempt employees earn $21.00-$23.00/hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k after 60 days. Schedule includes Monday through Friday shifts with weekends off, though flexibility for special events may be required. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in food services including food preparations for large groups and supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office).
- Ability to pass a physical and work in a correctional kitchen environment.
- Ability to pass background check and federal drug testing.
- ServSafe or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.
