Job Summary
Assist the Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, help supervise kitchen staff, ensure food quality and freshness, and oversee operations in the Executive Chef’s absence. Lead the kitchen team, organize stock and ingredients, enforce FIFO and proper dating, maintain sanitation and safety standards, prepare and present dishes to restaurant standards, coordinate with vendors and clients, support training opportunities, assist with events (up to 3 per semester), receive and inspect deliveries, and maintain a professional appearance in a GHC kitchen setting.
Required Qualifications
- No prior experience or training.
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Acquires Serv Safe Certification within the first available class scheduled following employment.
- Valid food handlers card required (If required in State).
