Job Summary
Sourcing Specialist leads procurement of key goods and services for operations, develops cost and inventory reduction initiatives, improves supplier performance, and partners with suppliers to achieve best value within design specs, schedule, and quality. Responsibilities include pursuing strategic supplier partnerships for cost reductions and efficiencies, owning supplier selection and performance, identifying and implementing efficient purchasing processes, negotiating pricing, coordinating with ERP/web-based purchasing, and coordinating with global purchasing teams to support growth. Regular on-site attendance is required, with emphasis on cross-department collaboration to assess spend and implement sourcing strategies. The role involves analyzing market conditions and developing strategies for assigned spend, as well as handling direct and indirect procurement duties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
- Two years of Purchasing/Procurement experience preferred
- Five years relevant manufacturing experience preferred
- Oracle experience preferred
- Skilled in change management methodologies
