Job Summary
Support sourcing activities for assigned categories by assisting with supplier communication, quotations, and data analysis. Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and part data within procurement systems to support business continuity. Assist with supplier performance tracking, issue documentation, and reporting under guidance from senior team members. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to support part qualification, changes, and basic sourcing initiatives. Participate in RFQs, cost comparisons, and savings tracking activities. Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements. Develop foundational sourcing and negotiation skills through hands-on experience and training. This role requires 2-4 years of related experience and an Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering, with frequent travel (6-20%) and occasional overnight stays (0-5%). Candidates must be willing to work onsite in New Bremen, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years related experience
- Associate's degree (Business, Supply Chain or Engineering)
- Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
- Frequent travel (6-20%) & Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
- Must be willing to work onsite – New Bremen, Ohio
- Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
Desired Qualifications
- Interpersonal, teamwork and negotiation aptitude skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Manufacturing Engineering or other technical experience.
- CPSM, APICS, CIPS, or comparable training are also preferred.
