Job Summary
Lead Category and Supplier Strategy by driving quality, cost, and delivery performance across global sourcing initiatives and managing key supplier relationships. Conduct complex negotiations at category and site levels, standardize sourcing processes, deploy risk mitigation, and introduce competitive suppliers to enhance cost, quality, and resilience. Analyze performance through KPI tracking, spend analysis, and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions; collaborate with local and global purchasing teams, stakeholders, and leadership to align sourcing plans, support budgeting/forecasting, and communicate progress on initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business required; advanced degree or MBA preferred
- At least 5 years of purchasing and sourcing experience within manufacturing environment
- Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma and Project Management are a plus
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for total cost analysis, supplier evaluation and spend management
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with creative problem-solving and risk-taking
- US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DOD security clearance
