Job Summary
Source and establish regional and global supplier partnerships to acquire, build, expand, and operate Starlink's ground infrastructure. Develop expertise in regional business, culture, and regulatory environments to support financial planning and supplier strategy. Execute agreements and develop commercial models that address immediate team needs while facilitating future growth. Create scalable approaches to assess infrastructure health and define success through qualitative and quantitative metrics. Work directly with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, reliability, legal, billing, finance, and design to identify operational improvements and quantify business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- 3+ years of experience working in one or more of the following: Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in one or more of the following: Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling
- 9+ years of experience working in one or more of the following: Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Willingness to work long hours when needed to meet critical deadlines
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, shepherd the right resources, and drive to quantifiable results
- Ability to adapt and build processes that can flex to changing requirements and strategy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate challenging topics to executive audiences
- External supplier management, contracting, and negotiation experience
- Development experience in Python, C# or other object-oriented language
- Experience or interest in data analysis, data visualization, and/or financial analysis
- Demonstrates commitment to SpaceX's goals of reusability, renewability, and sustainability
