Sourcing Manager - Customer & Products

Job Summary
Drive and improve value for BP across managed spend categories by tracking savings, managing demand, and executing source selection and contract negotiation via CLM. Lead a team of sourcing leads and analysts, overseeing performance appraisals, resource allocation, and complex project execution while maintaining effective relationships with internal business partners and external suppliers. Ensure operational excellence through continuous process improvement, strict adherence to BP's Code of Conduct, and compliance with Business Controls, SOX, and ISO accreditations. Manage critical issue escalations and represent the team in stakeholder conversations to deliver stable, customer-focused service delivery against agreed performance objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in sourcing products and/or services
- Category specific experience (Retail Assets, Convenience Retail and related goods and services)
- Several years of people/team leadership experience
- Broad understanding of negotiation strategies & techniques
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skill in English
- Highly motivated and ambitious to drive value and Business partnering
- Strong business attitude and commercial competence
- Strong and proven stakeholder relationship management skills
- Passion to motivate, develop and retain people
- Transformational approach and ability to motivate change
- Good time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Demonstrated process thinking and experience with a strong focus on continuous improvement
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an additional European language: German, Polish, Spanish, or Portuguese
- Experience with e-procurement, AI productivity and autonomous procurement solutions
- Experience with workflow tools (Salesforce) and ERP systems, eg. Ariba
- Master Business Administration (MBA)
- Procurement related professional certification
