Sourcing Manager, Capital Equipment & Construction (Starlink)

Job Summary
Develop and execute equipment and services procurement strategies for construction projects and capital purchases. Work directly with internal stakeholders to implement contract management processes, negotiate agreements, and lead request for proposals. Perform market analysis to determine costs, present value propositions for cost reduction, and track budgetary risk through advanced quantitative analysis. Manage vendor relationships, resolve performance issues, place purchase orders, and continuously improve supply base KPIs. Identify and execute cost reduction projects while ensuring adherence to contracts and resolving blocked invoices. Travel up to 20% of the work week, including international trips, and work long hours or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience working in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience working in Purchasing
- 5+ years of experience working in Contract negotiation
- 5+ years of experience working in Operations or supply chain management
- 5+ years of experience working in Master production scheduling
- 5+ years of experience working in Construction, facilities, or industrial plant management
- 9+ years of experience working in Engineering
- 9+ years of experience working in Purchasing
- 9+ years of experience working in Contract negotiation
- 9+ years of experience working in Operations or supply chain management
- 9+ years of experience working in Master production scheduling
- 9+ years of experience working in Construction, facilities, or industrial plant management
- Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours
- up to 20% work week travel
- Willingness to work long hours and weekend when needed to meet critical deadlines
- This position is based in Bastrop, TX
