Job Summary
Sourcing Lead - D&T responsible for driving medium-complexity sourcing projects, developing supplier relationships, identifying value opportunities, defining market approach and category strategy, leading source selection, contract negotiation and maintenance, and coordinating supplier interactions. Role emphasizes actionable procurement analyses, reporting, and process improvements within bp’s global procurement framework. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of sourcing experience, with experience in contract creation/negotiation, supplier management, and familiarity with Ariba/Salesforce; hybrid office/remote work based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience is required (preferably in business studies)
- At least 6 years of relevant sourcing experience
- Project management experience is an advantage
- Experience with contract creation, negotiation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of navigating the supply market and supplier selection
- Understanding of the end-to-end Procurement process
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills and teamwork
- Excellent time-management and task prioritization skills
- Experience working in an Ariba / Salesforce system environment is an advantage
- Proactive and innovative approach
