Job Summary
Sourcing Engineer responsible for leading supplier and product qualification for Rogue's Financial Engineering team, spanning domestic and international markets. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for metals and related components; issue RFQs, analyze bids, and lead initial negotiations to establish competitive pricing and contractual terms. Build should-cost models for data-driven negotiations and validate supplier pricing against market benchmarks. Own end-to-end supplier qualification documentation and execute a transition-ready handoff to Procurement for steady-state management. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Procurement; maintain accurate supplier and cost data in Microsoft Dynamics; onsite in Columbus, OH with no remote work. Requires a Bachelor's in a relevant engineering field and an MBA, with at least 3 years in strategic sourcing or supplier development and experience with international sourcing and GD&T understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field from a Tier 1 University
- MBA required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment
- Experience qualifying suppliers for metal fabricated components across global markets
- Familiarity with landed cost modeling, tariff and duty structures, import compliance, cross-border logistics
- Strong analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets; working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification a plus
