Sourcing Engineer

Job Summary
Drive NPD projects by building effective requests for quotes, recommending supplier selection, managing costed BOMs, and overseeing PPAP and risk mitigation. Manage sourcing projects with Pro Tools' global supply base, including cost modeling, make/buy analysis, and capital expenditure. Communicate supply chain status and risks to project stakeholders and lead supplier decision reviews with executive leadership. Partner with suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability and ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards. Support an electrical sourcing engineering counterpart in component sourcing, substitutions, and aligning supply chains for mechanical and electronic subassemblies. This role, based in Elyria, OH, collaborates globally with commodity management teams, developmental engineers, and suppliers dedicated to revolutionizing the industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or related field
- 3–5 years' experience
- Knowledge of quality processes (PPAP, SPC, DFM, FMEA)
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Strong project management skills
- Strong MS Office skills
