Job Summary
Sourcing Director for Bags and Luggage responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy within a direct-to-consumer model. Lead multi-sourcing with manufacturing partners, onboard new partners for rapid replenishment, and educate partners on the Quince Operating System (OS) including operational excellence, ROIC, and technical integration via the Vendor Portal. Drive improvements in quality (defect rate <0.5%), speed (replenishment lead time <14 days), availability (in-stock >99%), and margin through cost engineering and NPC-based product development. Conduct structured QBRs with partners, expand catalogs in collaboration with Merchandising, and apply lean/JIT manufacturing principles to scale through partnerships, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and technology-enabled operations.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of director-level experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management with major US-based retailers
- Deep network of partner factory connections within bags and luggage, APAC region
- Experience leveraging factories/vendor expertise to design, cost engineer, and bring products to market; knowledge of key materials localized to the region
- GM mindset with supply chain background and manufacturing (lean/JIT) experience
- Strong cost-understanding for the categories and ability to drive cost-saving through data-driven approaches and negotiations
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
