Job Summary
Purchase diverse components and products meeting company specifications while optimizing inventory and controlling costs through price negotiation and market analysis. Manage established and new suppliers, ensuring delivery requirements are met and seeking new sources as needed. Use ERP software to determine purchase quantities and timing, and participate on project teams for new product launches. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This role supports AMSOIL's manufacturing and business operations by maintaining a reliable supply chain and driving cost savings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience in high volume environment
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed (up to 15%)
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States (or Canada if applicable) without current or future employer sponsorship
