Job Summary
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for Horizontal Mills product portfolio across castings, forgings, and motors. Drive cost optimisation through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, and strategic negotiations while identifying and qualifying best-in-class suppliers. Lead commercial agreements and value engineering initiatives to improve manufacturability and lifecycle costs. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to align sourcing with business objectives and support New Product Introduction readiness. Proactively manage supply chain risks related to commodity markets, logistics, and geopolitical events. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain required with demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing within heavy industry or mining equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within heavy industry, mining equipment, manufacturing, or industrial technology
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in supplier negotiations, cost modelling, spend analysis, and strategic sourcing
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within a global, cross-functional organisation
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams and supplier networks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with horizontal mill components or similar heavy industrial equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, fabrication, and assembly
- Professional procurement certifications (CPSM, CSCP or equivalent)
- Experience with supplier ESG and responsible sourcing practices
