Job Summary
Conduct visual, documentation, and packaging checks on mechanical parts at supplier sites in Houston, Texas. Perform dimensional inspection of an AQL-sized sample of parts using micrometers and calipers, while reading and interpreting engineering drawings to verify part serialisation. Review and approve paperwork for traceability and packaging, then complete QC reports according to customer requirements. This quarterly visit supports AS9100 standards compliance for mechanical endurance theory and chemical treatments. Requires a laptop and mobile phone for on-site data collection.
Required Qualifications
- Aerospace and/or Defence industry experience
- Mechanical endurance theory and painting + chemical treatments experience
- Hands-on inspection experience using mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge/experience of AS9100 standards
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Must have a laptop or personal computer and a mobile phone
- 1 visit per quarter frequency
- 1099 employment classification
