Job Summary
Senior-level engineering role focusing on acoustics and vibration for HVAC products. Responsibilities include defining sound and vibration requirements, performing acoustic and vibration measurements, analyzing test data, and preparing reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic and vibration considerations into product designs, develop and maintain technical documentation, provide sound ratings for publication, assist sales engineering with inquiries, stay current with advancements, participate in research initiatives and standards development, and manage multiple projects with on-site travel as needed. Requires 5+ years of hands-on experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in sound and vibration engineering
- Proficiency with acoustic measurement and analysis software
- Skilled in vibration measurement and diagnostic tools
- Strong understanding of HVAC components, systems, and processes
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical noise and vibration sources, transmission paths, and isolation techniques
