Job Summary

Provide non-judgmental, non-directive support to residents in a therapeutic community residence, engaging in relationship building and assisting with social skills, wellness, medications, and housekeeping. Collaborate with residents to formulate and review comprehensive care plans, including budget preparation, while maintaining thorough records and completing program documentation. Coordinate referrals to community services and advocate for resident participation in activities. Perform regular household cleaning, maintain Soteria policies and emergency protocols, and attend scheduled meetings, supervision, and retreats. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work weekends, and willingness to self-reflect.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicle
  • Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form relationships with marginalized individuals
  • Sound judgment and good problem solving skills including assessing risk factors
  • Ability to structure time, develop work priorities independently, and meet program expectations with regard to documentation
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the team
  • Ability to share one's own personal transformative life experiences
  • Willingness to self-reflect, learn, and practice new ways of being in relationships
  • Risk and discomfort tolerance
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs often required
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing and lifting
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent exposure to outside environmental conditions (all seasons)
  • Occasional exposure to high levels of noise
  • Regular operation of a computer and other office machinery including frequent typing
  • Frequent talking and listening in participation of exchanging ideas through spoken word

Desired Qualifications

  • Personal experience of psychosis/extreme states
  • Complete 12 hours of TCR (therapeutic community residence) training annually
