Sorter

Grade, sort, or classify plastic scrap by size, weight, color, or condition. Transfer material to and from the department and may occasionally operate a forklift. Ensure adherence to WMC’s quality management system by inspecting and sorting scrap parts according to color, species, length, width, appearance, and quality; discard inferior or defective parts and place acceptable products in Gaylord containers for further processing. Mark grades on containers and record grade or identification numbers on tags. Inspect materials visually or by touch to meet standard quality specifications. Transfer materials between work areas using forklift or manual methods. Comply with all Health & Safety practices and attend mandatory safety training. All other duties as assigned.
