Job Summary
Greet customers for donation drop-offs, assist with unloading, and provide instructions for tax forms. Inspect, sort, handle, and label donations for sale at the Donation Center while operating pallet jacks or forklifts to move items within the warehouse. Maintain a safe and organized environment by following manager instructions and collaborating with team members and volunteer groups. Occasionally supervise groups of volunteers at the center. This part-time role supports Wheeler Mission Ministries' Christ-centered purpose of helping those experiencing homelessness and sharing the Gospel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or HSE
- Verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with others
- Belief in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible

- Ability to learn how to manage time in payroll software
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, twist, and bend-over frequently during the shift
- Must be able to hold and grasp donated objects when loading and unloading donations
- Must have the physical ability to perform normal office functions including sitting for prolonged periods of time and the endurance to remain standing for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to frequently lift and move donations up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that may expose workers to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, and dirt
- Must be able to use donation center pallet jacks
- Must be able to perform manual labor indoors and outdoors
- Must agree to and pass a post-offer background check
- Must agree to and pass a drug and/or alcohol test
- Must agree to and remain free from addiction to drugs or alcohol
- Must agree to the Conflict of Interest Policy
- Must agree to the Confidentiality Policy
- Must agree to the Statement of Faith
