Sorter

Sorter responsible for safely and efficiently sorting incoming recyclable materials (aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.), depositing recoverables into the appropriate chute, supporting other sorters with heavy or bulky items, and following all safety policies including stopping the conveyor during emergencies; will inspect incoming loads for unacceptable waste and communicate with equipment operators regarding loads needing special attention; perform other duties as assigned.
