Sorter

Sort and segregate recoverable materials such as aluminum, plastic, glass, and paper from incoming waste, depositing them into appropriate chutes. Assist with heavy or bulky items as needed and inspect loads for unacceptable waste, removing non-compliant items. Communicate with equipment operators regarding special waste loads requiring attention and follow all safety policies, including stopping the conveyor belt in emergencies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This role supports Republic Services' mission to advance circularity and manage multiple waste streams through a North American footprint of vertically integrated assets.
