Job Summary
The Sorter & Processor will work within Housing Works Thrift Shop’s Processing & Distribution Center, focusing on processing and pricing donated goods, curating shipments, and preparing sellable merchandise that meets pricing standards. Responsibilities include reporting daily productivity, distributing incoming donations for processing, pricing and curating merchandise for themed events, hanging/tagging/pricing/packing goods, ensuring shipments are accurate and on time, maintaining an orderly work area, and upholding company policies. Requires understanding of the resale market, basic Microsoft/Excel skills, and strong customer service and communication abilities to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- General understanding of the resale market
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft and Excel required
- Excellent internal and external customer service
- Effective oral and written communication skills
