Job Summary
Recycling Sorter responsible for accurately sorting recyclable materials (paper, glass, plastics, metals), performing quality control to ensure only acceptable materials enter the recycling process, adhering to safety guidelines, operating and maintaining sorting equipment, and delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. Afternoon shift 1pm–9:30pm in Calgary, AB, Canada, with benefits (health/dental, life insurance, retirement options) and an afternoon shift premium. Emphasis on environmental sustainability and teamwork within GFL’s Materials Recovery Facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- A strong commitment to environmental sustainability
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting 40+ lbs repeatedly
- Attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify and sort recyclable materials accurately
- Team player mentality with excellent communication skills
