Job Summary
Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients under the direction of the Department Director. Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, and medical staff while participating in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Act as a clinical and technical resource for less experienced sonographers. Maintain national certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and hold hospital-based experience. Work full-time day shifts at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka.
Required Qualifications
- National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Experience as a hospital-based ultrasound technologist
- Graduate of a program in diagnostic ultrasound approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association or equivalent education/experience
- Completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc.
